My main interest is sculpture and all related practices, such as installation, on-site environment. In a world and a society guided by the market value and the standard things, above all, I want to be the visual poet who takesthe time to look and reorganize what makes sense to me. The minimal gesture can cause slight monumental effect: My job is simple acts of movement and subtile interventions with incongruous objects. My pieces are often set precariously.
There in my work a combination of metaphor and naivety or malice (play on words). The sobriety of my pieces comes from a wish to reduce my work towards a vocabulary of primary forms and make them interact and result in a poetic way, possibly absurd. The allegory of the absence, the economy, neutrality are the points that particularly interest me.
I am very interested in the situation that can lead to the ambiguity of their sense especially when parts are out of classic context of exhibition as the street. For example, in Eclipse, the wheels of the trucks evoke the night thanks to the spotlight, the sleep cycle of these tireless truck drivers reveals a poetry in these places, quite trivial in motorway service areas. Secondes Oeuvres is both promise and abandonment: impossible to know whether an architecture will be built in the desert or if there are vestiges of a vanished building.
Moreover, I do some stop motion movies (frame by frame, providing a parade obsessive and frenetic images on screen, restraining the place of the spectator in a state of anesthesia. Indeed, the retina of the latter cannot analyse so much frames. Beyond a tragic-comic dimension, I do poetic meditations on the ephemeral. (Time Goes by)
