SAD INTERIOR BECOMES INDUSTRIAL AND THE TRANSPORT OF PRESSURE : Margrét H. Sesseljudóttir
sculpture, instalation, performance

I work with sculptures, installations and performances. I make artwork that deals with the mundane and the ordinary and change it into something foreign, transforming everyday objects like house interiors and urban environment into something strange. I also like breaking things so that they are ruined and then fixing them, to create art out of broken and ugly material. I am happy when I can look at my art and feel excited and melancholic about it, at the same time.

I like to create art that is perishable and damaged and temporary, work that is only aimed at a particular time and place. SAD INTERIOR BECOMES INDUSTRIAL AND THE TRANSPORT OF PRESSURE Fresh connections have been made to exaggerate the presence of our bodies in the space. There is no movement and there is nothing. It is unstable.
